Just a quick update on our little Texas Tornado, aka Austin!

Because she was abandoned, we don't know her exact birthdate, but suspect she is now two years old.  She has grown into quite the character, and now has many nicknames such as "Monster", "Little One", "Austin from Boston", and unfortunately "Terrorist".

After we had Chip (the only male cat) put to sleep this spring due to old age, Austin decided she was now the Alpha Cat in the household.  She is now in the habit of "terrorizing" poor Tiggy by hiding in closets or behind furniture and then attacking when Tiggy walks by.  Despite the fact that Tiggy is three times Austin's size, we now have to carry Tiggy downstairs to the laundry room so she can use her litter box.  At times, poor Tiggy is too scared to even leave her litter box, and she's been found sleeping there.  Now what?

My solution is to get another male cat.  My husband Pat thinks otherwise.  So we're going to borrow our son's kitty Pangea, a very large male that we hope will adjust a Texas sized attitude!  We'll see how that goes!!

Note how she prefers laying on my laptop vs her memory foam bed!  She looks so innocent, doesn't she?
